Packard Bell has discovered a potential safety issue associated with the batteries
contained in certain EasyNote MX36, MX37, MX51, and MX52 model notebook computers. These batteries, which were
manufactured by a third party in 2007 and subsequently supplied to Packard Bell,
can potentially fail after prolonged usage. In rare instances the battery failure
may pose a risk of overheating or fire. The Packard Bell model notebook computers affected
by the battery recall replacement program are: EasyNote MX36, MX37, MX51
Packard Bell is dedicated to providing its customers with a reliable and risk-free
computing experience. We have therefore initiated a voluntary safety replacement
program for those batteries which belong to the affected manufacturing lots.
Customers who own one of the models listed above should immediately check if the
battery installed in their unit is affected. Please follow the instructions below
to determine if your unit is affected by this recall. We highly recommend you print
